Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

By using waypoint.dog and its tool subdomains, you agree to these terms. They cover accounts, credits, acceptable use, and what happens when something goes wrong.

1. The service

waypoint.dog is a Startup Operating System with AI-assisted tools (Idea Validation, Startup Identity, and Brand Identity), shared credits, and a project context layer that carries your work across tools.

The product lives at waypoint.dog and on tool subdomains. Features can change as we ship. We may add, change, or remove parts of the service. If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

You need an account for signed-in features. You can sign in with a magic link, Google, or GitHub. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email or OAuth access secure.

We may suspend or restrict accounts that abuse the service, dodge security controls, or break these terms.

3. Credits and payments

waypoint.dog runs on prepaid credits. Credit packs are sold through Paddle (merchant of record). New accounts may get welcome credits. Pack prices and tool costs are shown in the product.

When you run a tool, we reserve credits, run the job, then consume or release the reservation based on the result. Successful runs usually consume credits under the product rules. Skipping a commit into project context does not automatically refund those credits.

Refunds, chargebacks, and tax follow Paddle's process and applicable law. If a purchase is refunded, we may remove the related credits from your balance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe other people's rights
  • Bypass or hammer credit limits, rate limits, auth, or other security controls
  • Use disposable email, bot signups, or automated account farming
  • Generate unlawful, abusive, or clearly harmful content
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform beyond normal use

5. AI outputs and trademarks

Tool outputs are helpers, not legal, trademark, financial, or business advice. Domain checks and trademark signals are informational. They can be incomplete or out of date.

You decide whether a name, domain, brand, or strategy is safe to use. For anything important, check with a lawyer or the official registries before you ship.

6. Intellectual property

We own the waypoint.dog platform, branding, and software. As long as you follow these terms and any payment rules, you can use outputs generated for your projects while building your startup.

You keep rights in content you submit. You give us a license to host, process, and display that content so we can run the service, including sending it to the AI providers behind tool runs.

7. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Using the service means you also accept that policy.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent allowed by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for decisions you make based on tool outputs. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims about the service is capped at what you paid us for credits in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if we need to protect the service or other users, or if we shut the product down.

Clauses that should naturally outlive the account (IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) still apply after termination.

10. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new date. If you keep using the product after that, you accept the update. For bigger changes, we will try to flag them in the product when we can.
